Dude… All you iPhone pussys that trash the G1, you are all retarded and do not know what you are talking about. First off iPhone is not multithreaded meaning all you iPhone bitches can only run one application at a time. The G1 is multithreaded meaning you can have music player, browser, contacts and whatever else open.

  4. by tr1px999No Gravatar, on October 8 2008 @ 5:51 am

Another point… One of you dumb bitches said something about the iPhones SDK and compared it to open source. Well let me tell you, you are fucking dumb as shit. Open source means the whole damn thing is open, which means it will evolve faster and be better in no time. SDK on the other side gives you only a specific rules set which you can build for since you are not allowed to plugin to the kernel.

lol so now im jus gonna be honest it has a physical QWERTY keyboard.. Iphone doesn’t have any buttons, let alone a keyboard! Drop your iphone see how well it stands up. Open source will mean updates daily/more widgets/endless possibilities, read up …Android is here to stay. They can make phones cheaper beacause they don’t have to pay so much for M$ or ‘god’ forbid, Apple Licensing :P

Don’t even bother getting them to understand. Apples, iPods and iPhones are marketed towards computer illiterate people that will buy outdated technology for 3 times the price so long as it makes them look trendy in front of their Emo fag crowd. Simple as that!

  35. by ichibakudanNo Gravatar, on October 11 2008 @ 1:12 pm

I wouldn’t go for the BB 9000 over this just because of that one feature. The G1 is still a superior phone to the 9000 slightly.

  36. by droopi3No Gravatar, on October 11 2008 @ 1:30 pm

will this kick blackberry storms ass? cuz ima tmobile user and will always be a tmobile user but have hopes the storm will come to tmobile or atleast and unlocked version. i see alot of people going hard for this phone but when both are out what phone will really be the best?

  37. by Xerolimits89No Gravatar, on October 11 2008 @ 2:08 pm

it might be one feature but its a feature that should be a staple to most phones. i would still like to test drive the G1 phone though so i can see what im missing out.

  38. by cbluvsedithNo Gravatar, on October 11 2008 @ 5:23 pm

okay… the iPhone has integrated memory. The G1 has a little bit of integrated memory for sure but it does have removable memory, which means that you could use microSD cards on the G1 and the best part is that, you could buy multiple memory cards so you could organize your stuff. for example… “for music, you could buy a 1 GB or higher, for video, 4 GB or higher, etc.” The G1 could play music and videos for sure. (=

  39. by cbluvsedithNo Gravatar, on October 11 2008 @ 5:28 pm

    simones vatio (=

  40. by cbluvsedithNo Gravatar, on October 11 2008 @ 5:36 pm

what i like about the G1 is that it has REMOVABLE STORAGE instead of just having integrated storage such as the iPhone. the iPhone doesn’t have removable storage. The G1 does and the best thing is that, you could buy a whole bunch of memory cards for the G1 so you could organize your multimedia. Music on 8 GB card, Videos/Movies on 32 GB card, Photos on 4 GB. iPhone has “limited storage” because once, your iPhone storage gets full, you won’t be able to add more stuff.

  41. by cbluvsedithNo Gravatar, on October 11 2008 @ 5:39 pm

and the G1, there’s a way to store more data than the iPhone. By using multiple memory cards. If one memory card gets full… you could use another memory card so u won’t have to erase any data from the memory card and just use the other memory card so you could store more data. with the iPhone, you will need to delete some data in order to add any more stuff that you want to add on the phone. the G1, you could use more storage by using multiple memory cards (=

  42. by cbluvsedithNo Gravatar, on October 11 2008 @ 5:50 pm

this device could “kill” the iPhone badly! open source = customizing your phone without any illegal issues (=also it has removable storage which means, you don’t have to upgrade your phone for more storage. like the iPhone. every time, you see an iPhone with 8 gigs. if you memory on the iPhone is full and you don’t want to delete any data because everything is usable on the iPhone, then upgrading your iPhone for higher storage is the solution.

  43. by jackmitchell123No Gravatar, on October 11 2008 @ 5:58 pm

It has what the iPhone lacks, but the OS, the App Store, the way it works, and does things is unbeaten. Its just like unlike any other. The G1 is butt ugly, the OS most likely needs work as the iPhone did when it first came out and i dont look at myself as enjoying the G1 as i have the iPhone. Jailbroken, Pwnd, Unlocked on 2.1 that is. That is the recipe in my mind for a good Phone. Im glad you like the android better though, and i respect your opnion.

Sadly all the major phone parties are making similar phones now. Like Sprint has Instinct, ATT has IPhone, Verizon is going to have Blackberry Storm, and T-mobile is going to have G1. Of course G1 is the only one that has actual keyboard so it’s really cool but the Storm one is coming out is going to be pretty cool too. Anyway all the new generation phones are super cool so if I had a lot of money I’d buy each one lol but since i don’t I’ll just enjoy T-Mobile :D

One of my concerns is walking down the street and seeing every other person with the same phone as me. They did price it at a pretty affordable price so odds are I just might. Which is really lame.

  66. by lacosteaefNo Gravatar, on October 13 2008 @ 7:30 am

Who cares if others have the same phone, it’s an awesome piece of hardware. I want it for application not bragging rights. When the iPhone came out it was like a huge dick waiving competition to see who could drop the most cash on a device that didn’t even support 3G. That and Apple limits the applications you can use through their itunes store. They even remove applications that may conflict with ‘official’ Apple apps. Screw that, bring on an inexpensive open source phone any day.

  67. by FiascosFreshnessNo Gravatar, on October 13 2008 @ 8:58 am

I hear what you’re saying and I agree, but why can’t it pay to be different ?. Don’t you think it’s t-mobile’s fault for not having a better/bigger selection of phones to choose from ?. Everything just feels so limited to me.

  70. by dds113No Gravatar, on October 13 2008 @ 12:00 pm

This phone is awesome….and the only reason is because it has a keyboard….God answered my prayers cuz i wished my phone wasnt so fat(tmobile wing) and had a wider screen..well, that the G1….Great JOB T-mobile!!!…i feel so sori for I-Phoners who have to tap-touch a damn text message…its just infortunate and sad!

  71. by babyz3usNo Gravatar, on October 13 2008 @ 12:10 pm

i dont know who has told you guys this phone has over 1 million pre orders but it doesn’t. i work for t-mobile in soho nyc and we get letters from corporate telling us how many costumers we lose every month to at&t. which is about 100,000 every month on an average. tmobile needs to make there own phone and stop copying apple.. apple has sold over 10million iphones world wide thats more phones than tmobile has sold period. i am not an iphone fan but its the truth.

  72. by JayiTzSICKNo Gravatar, on October 13 2008 @ 12:15 pm

  73. by FiascosFreshnessNo Gravatar, on October 13 2008 @ 2:30 pm

What he means is a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Which is the same one you use with an ipod or any other mp3 player. The G1 uses the usb headphone connector which is mostly on all htc phones. He wasn’t talking about a headphone jack in general.

  74. by Meka7777777No Gravatar, on October 13 2008 @ 4:05 pm

It has a headhone jack just not 3.5mm. All you have to do is buy a usb adapter for your headphones…see i have a tmobile dash so i can just use the headphones from that with the G1. But i hope they atleast come with headphones for other users who arent as fortunate.

  75. by kelvinfplatanoNo Gravatar, on October 13 2008 @ 5:01 pm

you’re just another iphone lover comparing it to the iphone… i have used an iphone and its not the best thing, like you iphone lovers want it to be… the iphone has too many restriction and they dont give a shit about customers, texting and typing on the screen sucks,i used to love the iphone until i used it.

  76. by kelvinfplatanoNo Gravatar, on October 13 2008 @ 5:06 pm

thats true t-mobile phones aren’t as advanced as every other company but it looks like they got the message and seems like they are starting to move up..with this g1

  77. by FiascosFreshnessNo Gravatar, on October 13 2008 @ 5:36 pm

Aren’t you tired of the wing ?. I had it for 2 weeks and was totally fed up with the constant freezing. The processor in that phone is just not strong enough to run windows mobile. Hopefully, with android, Google has the sense to put their software into a device that can actually run it.

  78. by FiascosFreshnessNo Gravatar, on October 14 2008 @ 1:43 am

I agree, one of the iPhone’s biggest flaws is the virtual keyboard. I find it really difficult to text and that’s a huge setback considering the fact that I’m big on text messaging/email. Although there’s no virtual keyboard for the G1 just yet (open source app), I would much rather live with the physical keypad.

So everything with a touch screen and a nice interface is considered an iPhone clone now?Apple didn’t invent touch screen phones FFS. They just made it more mainstream.

iPhone looks good but it’s a piece of crap. Very delicate hardware. My roommate has gone through 3 different phones since May, cause they break so easily. I’m so glad I waited to get a new phone.I’m sure the next android g2 will be much better.Hell yeah lol
