Google Voice clients like GV Mobile might no longer be available on the App Store. But they are still among the very popular iPhone apps available for jailbroken iPhone users. 

Now news is in that a newer version of GV Mobile is on the cards and that it has some pretty nifty enhancements. 

First and foremost, GV Mobile 2.0 will come with support for multiple Google Voice accounts. That apart, the updated version will also let users view voicemail transcriptions, access iPhone contacts and favorites from within the app as well as connect to dialled calls instantly. 

There are few more enhancements in the pipeline. This includes features such as call forwarding, ‘Do not Disturb‘ setting and automatic syncing; though it is not clear if these will be made available in GV Mobile 2.0 itself. Folks at Boy Genius Report who were able to test the beta version of the GV Mobile app have been extremely positive about the “polished and refined” looks of it.
