Apple Filesystem (APFS) declared for 20 17, scales ‘from Apple Watch to Mac Pro’ and focuses on encryption

Although it didn’t make the keynote cut, among the larger news items for computer programmers now is that Apple is rolling out a fresh file program for storage for all its goods:

The Apple Filesystem (APFS) is the next generation filesystem created to scale from an Apple Watch to a Mac Pro.
