Apple releases iOS 10.0.3 for iPhone 7 & 7 Plus with cellular connectivity fixes

Apple has just released iOS 10.0.3 for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus users. The update includes a bug fix for users that were temporarily losing their cellular connectivity on their devices.

Today’s update should resolve some of cell network connectivity issues our readers have also been reporting. We recently wrote about reports on poor phone quality with Verizon where users were experiencing incoming calls where the audio seemed distant. T-Mobile customers themselves had issues with cell network connections during the original iOS 10 launch where they even recommended customers to hold off on upgrading.

iOS 10.0.3’s release notes:

  • Fixes bugs including an issue where some users could temporarily lose cellular connectivity.

iOS 10.0.2 introduced bug fixes that put a focus on addressing the issues with headphone audio controls no longer working, Photos crashes for those that had enabled iCloud Photo Library, and issues when enabling app extensions.

iOS 10.1 is set to release later this year, and will include Portrait Mode (aka Depth Effect) for iPhone 7 Plus users. iOS 10.1 is currently in beta for developers and public beta users.

Apple also pushed out an update today to their Classroom app that fixes issues with the application not being able to find other nearby student devices.
