AppSlider is a new jailbreak tweak that allows you to launch two of your favorite iPhone apps from the lock screen. It adds shortcuts just like the lock screen shortcut added for the Camera app in iOS 5.
AppSlider is developed by iOS developer – Ron Melkhior. He explains how it works:
AppSlider will minimize the width of the slider, and in the blank spaces will add the feature to add in every side an icon of an app you choose, and when you will tap it, it will open the app
So the jailbreak tweak allows you to launch two of your favorite iPhone apps from the lock screen with a tap. You can also configure, which app you would like to launch for each lock screen shortcut. Please remember to tap on Apply Changes after selecting the apps, which will automatically respring the SpringBoard.
