We have already seen a method to send and receive free SMS using iPhone 3G. This is another way to send free SMS if you just bought an iPhone 3G and want to avoid paying $5 per month to $20 per month for SMS as per AT&T’s iPhone 3G rate plans. This method is simpler and only requires AOL’s AIM iPhone App to be installed (if you don’t have installed already).

Before Apple’s new iPhone 3G was launched, we had got the bad news that AT&T will not be offering tethering capabilities for iPhone 3G. However, it doesn’t seem to have stopped iPhone hacking expert, Nate True from figuring out a way to tether jailbroken iPhone 3G to the laptop.

Both seem to be an extension of the hidden features that we have already mentioned here at iPhone Hacks.

When I wrote about the iPhone Remote, the first official native iPhone application to be reviewed here at iPhone Hacks, I missed out one of the features which would have made Apple TV and iPhone or iPod Touch users very happy. DaringFireball.net has revealed that the iPhone Remote adds a useful and unpublicized feature. It also acts as a Wi-Fi keyboard for Apple TV.
