Fox today debuted a brand-new app called Movie of the Day! [Direct Link] which intends to provide clients a new everyday discount on one film from Fox’s large catalog (by means of Engadget).
Every day the app updates with a brand-new movie offer, ranging from “from hits to well-known indies, and everything in between,” at a discount rate which increases to 70 percent off of the initial cost. To begin, the app is readily available just for iOS devices, but there are strategies to broaden to other app stores like Google Play. In addition to the standard day-to-day discount rate, the app also lets users browse a movie’s cast, take a look at other user testimonials, and check out a fast run-through of the film.
Going live today in United States, Canada, Uk, Australia, Germany and France, the app’s first discount rate is a $$ 6.99 version of X-Men: First Class, initially $$ 14.99. Every movie showcased within the brand-new Fox app links back to the iTunes store, so anyone benefiting from the day-to-day sales will certainly be able to develop their iTunes movie magazine at a less expensive rate than normal.
Although the business hasn’t made any confirmation of the next few movies to be showcased, the app’s screenshot carousel hints that movies like Rio 2, Battle Club, and The Fault in Our Stars could be discounted in the coming weeks. Those interested can download Film of the Day! absolutely free today on the App Store.
