Apple has pushed live an update to its UK- and Europe-only 12 Days of Christmas app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, getting it ready for 2012’s holiday festivities. The app counts down to December 26, the day after Christmas, and the first of 12 days on which Apple will be gifting free apps, books, music, and other iTunes content to users.

Each e-gift will only be available for 24 hours once posted (you’ll be able to get push notifications if you wish) and, as mentioned above, the app is only available to iOS device owners in the UK and Europe. If you live in those territories, you’ll also be able to receive daily free content from the iTunes Store on your Mac from December 26 through January 6.
