Having a pricey gadget stolen is never a pleasant experience, and while the victim rarely ever sees the thief’s face, modern smartphones make it possible to both track and document the path your stolen device takes once it leaves your possession. As Mashable reports, one unfortunate iPhone owner had her handset yanked while vacationing in Spain, and although she hasn’t been reunited with her device, she’s learned an awful lot about the person who now possesses it.

His name is Hafid, he’s from Dubai, and he likes standing next to cars, posing in tanktops, and taking photos of his food. You see, unlike the smarter iPhone thieves out there, Hafid didn’t wipe the device after stealing it, and the former owner’s automatic Dropbox photo upload feature is still grabbing new snapshots and adding them to her account, painting a detailed picture of the life of the perpetrator.

In fact, there’s so much content to comb through that the iPhone’s rightful owner has set up a Tumblr for Hafid which is now catching the attention of plenty of internet sleuths. Whether or not this story will have a happy ending remains to be seen, but in the meantime let’s all enjoy watching a cowardly phone thief dress up in clothes straight out of 1992.
