Jobs film starts with greatest per-theatre profits of any film this season, best-ever for Boyle

Steve Jobs, the questionable Sorkin/Boyle not-very biopic, accomplished the greatest opening weekend Per-Theatre Average (PTA) of any film this season, reviews Timeline. The film also offered Danny Boyle the very best ever average of his profession to representative.

The function grossed 520,942, averaging 236, $130. In comparison, Boyle’s Oscar-earning Slumdog Billionaire (2008) made over $360K in 10 theaters its introduction weekend, averaging $36K.
