Apple has just made an interesting change to the Apple Watch section on its main website. This new change now makes it a lot easier for those looking to purchase an Apple Watch to visualize the exact watch case and band combination they may want to get.
Called Apple Watch Gallery and accessible at apple.com/watch/gallery, it lets potential buyers virtually try out different watch case, band and watch face combination to help them decide which model they exactly want to get.
As the user chooses different options, the online tool keeps a track of each individual element and displays it in plain text below the visualization of the Apple Watch. This allows the potential buyers to put together the exact Apple Watch combo that they like the look of, and then make a note of the exact specification before purchasing it through the usual mechanisms.
This custom-design experience includes all of the Apple Watch bands, even the latest Woven Nylon bands and new colors for existing bands like the Modern Buckle, Classic Buckle, and Sport Band, all of which were announced at Apple’s recent Spring 2016 event in Cupertino.
Apple isn’t reinventing the wheel here, or doing anything totally revolutionary, but what it’s doing is making it a lot easier for customers to work through the multiple case and band types that are available as part of the Apple Watch range. For some who aren’t overly familiar with the Apple Watch and looking to purchase one, it can be a slightly confusing and daunting task to determine exactly which model and finish to go for. The Cupertino-based company will be hoping that this custom-design tool for the product will make that choice a lot easier for potential buyers.
Try it out now and tell us what does your chosen combination look like in the comments section below.
