The iPad media event has just kicked off and Craig Federighi has announced the final availability of OS X Mavericks along with its pricing structure. More details can be found right here.
Apart from all the features which we’ve already covered in our initial announcement post, OS X Mavericks 10.9 offers up to 1.5 hours more battery life over previous versions of OS X running on Apple’s latest Haswell powered MacBook Air, which is a huge win for the user.
Apple, also took the liberty to blitz through all of the major features of OS X Mavericks 10.9, which they showcased in detail at this year’s WWDC, which includes Finder Tabs and tagging etc.
OS X Mavericks 10.9 is a free upgrade for those who recently purchased a Mac, and those running older hardware (this is exciting!) have to pony up absolutely nothing for the upgrade, and as usual, the OS X Mavericks 10.9 download will be available to users from the Mac App Store.
