Back in October 2012, Philips introduced its “tone” line of iOS-compatible LED light bulbs, giving customers the capability to establish and control light shades and intensities right from an iPhone application. With different “dishes”, users can choose from preset and personalized lights scenes to match a selection of situations, from reviewing to relieving to concentrating and more.


Philips has expanded the Tone household several times because the preliminary launch, including a “Pals of shade” accessory line of light strips and table lights, as well as brand-new BR30 light bulbs for recessed illumination fixtures.

The Color household is readied to broaden once again, with Philips today announcing three new upcoming items. The initial is called “hue lux”, a light bulb just like the existing tone bulb yet which can only give off white illumination. While color lux does not have the color alternatives offered with the original shade, customers could from another location control the illumination of shade lux, set schedules, and a lot more.

The tone touch requires no wiring or electric batteries and is powered just by the kinetic electricity from customers tapping on the switch. The shade touch will be offered in the 2nd one-half of this year and will be valued at $$ 60.

For the more daring, the final hue items being revealed today are new 3D-printed luminaires. Readily available in both table and hanging pendant versions, the lightings work as art items that incorporate with the color device with palettes of over 16 million colours. Pre-orders for the luminaires start on March 31, with the necklaces priced at 2999 euros and table lamps priced at 2499 euros.
