Yet an additional beloved eReader application is closing its doors thanks to the unfortunate fact of being monetarily unsustainable.

This time around it’s Readmill, the open reading system for iOS and Android that sought to give customers an alternative to exclusive shops.

With beautiful typography and a helpful night reading method, it was the go-to eReader for many smartphone users. The company announced its choice in a recent blog post:

… Readmill’s tale ends here. Many challenges worldwide of ebooks continue to be unsolved, and we failed to produce a lasting platform for reading. For this, we’re deeply sorry. We considered every alternative prior to making the hard choice to end the product that introduced us together.

Note that the group will sign up with Dropbox, though specifics on exactly what their parts will certainly be are not readily available.

Users have until July 1, 2014 to export their data from the application. After that it will certainly no longer be available. You can learn more concerning exporting your publications, fans, readings, testimonials, and highlights to safe keeping here. In the meantime maybe attempt to review one last books and magazine on Readmill. Simply for old time’s sake.
