Shock! Apple didn’t purchase Omnifone, supplier of Samsung’s defunct Dairy music company

Subsequent speculation today that Apple might be behind the documented purchase of audio technology organization Omnifone, The Cycle established with resources (as did others) that Apple isn’t the buyer.

That speculation nowadays adopted a study earlier this month describing the selling of the organization and betting about the customer’s identification.

Among Apple’s newest purchases seems to be cloud-centered audio supplier and Omnifone, based on an internal source that shared understanding of the buy with MacRumors

The statement stated that Apple had joined a royalty contract with Omnifone and seemed to behind the $10M purchase comprehensive in the earlier report.

Before this month Audio Friend provided information on what it stated was a $10 thousand purchase of the united kingdom-based organization, including its technology-related to electronic audio distribution and privileges. The organization’s engineering, specifically its MusicStation system, was once utilized by Sony, Samsung, Rim, and others to energy numerous backend aspects of their music-streaming providers before it went broke in May.

Also it does certainly seem that Omnifone has finished associations with companions following a purchase of the organization. One or more of Omnifone’s prior companions, audio support PonoMusic, posted a public statement recognizing just as much. Pono also established Omnifone was bought with a “big company.”

It simply doesn’t appear like Apple was the customer.
