Couple of weeks back, Apple had released a tweaked version of iOS 5.0.1 (build 9A406) for iPhone 4S users to fix the annoying SIM card issues that has plagued iPhone 4S users.

A new version of TinyUmbrella, the tool that allows you to take backups of SHSH blobs (ECID SHSH) to let you downgrade to older iOS versions has been released to include support for the tweaked version of iOS 5.0.1.

It may be a good idea to take a backup of SHSH blobs, even though Apple has made it difficult to downgrade to an older version of iOS 5.x using SHSH blobs in iOS 5.

NotCom a.k.a semaphore – iOS hacker and developer of TinyUmbrella announced the availability of the new version of TinyUmbrella on his blog:

Although we cannot exploit/restore iPhone 4S SHSHs we still should save them just in case. I’ve just updated TU to support iPhone 4S 5.0.1b “9A406”.
