According to a variety of tweets and several tips sent to 9to5Mac, Apple’s iCloud webpage is down for many users. While services like iMessage, the App Store, and iTunes are all functional, many users are receiving error messages while trying to access iCloud.com.
Because of the iCloud outage, users are unable to use the webpage to access services like Mail and Find My iPhone, but those services work via their independent apps on iOS.
Users attempting to access iCloud.com are being presented with a gateway error. A multitude of users have tweeted at Apple Support on Twitter inquiring about the issue, but Apple has not acknowledged that it is having any issues on its side. Likewise, Apple’s System Status page also doesn’t show any errors.
It’s worth noting that the last time a mass number of users were having issues with Apple services, it turned out that Apple wasn’t the culprit for the problems. Rather, it was a landline DNS problem through providers like AT&T and Time Warner Cable. That could again be the issue, though it’s unclear at this time.
While Apple generally doesn’t update its System Status until the issues have been resolved, we’ll be sure to update this post when Apple acknowledges the problem and it’s resolved. We’ve also reached out to Apple for comment.
