Apple Park Visitor Center Grand Opening Event Happening On November 17

Apple has informed employees and the surrounding public of the official opening date for the new Apple Park Visitor Center.

A new sign has appeared on the building confirming the opening date as November 17, with the company holding an official opening event which will be attended by Apple employees and certain residents of the Cupertino area.

The general public and technology press seem to go crazy at certain points of the year when Apple issues official invites for dedicated media events which are intended to announce new products or services. It may not be on the same caliber, but Apple has also issued invites to residents of Cupertino and surrounding areas inviting them to attend a preview event at the Visitor Center prior to its official opening on the 17th.

The event on the 16th, will take place between 3PM and 8PM, with anyone attending asked to bring a proof of ID to confirm their residence. The invite reads as follows:

“hello”

Hello, neighbors.

You’re invited to an exclusive preview of the Apple Park Visitor Center at 10600 North Tantau Avenue in Cupertino. Please join us Thursday, November 16, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Photo ID is required for entry. This invitation is nontransferrable and good for up to three additional guests.

When the 17th officially comes around then the Apple Park Visitor Center will be open to the general public for anyone who wants to drop in and see the new building in all of its glory.

Tim Cook’s company is used to individuals dropping into the visitor part of the current Cupertino campus, and given the grand nature of Apple Park, and the fact that it contains a unique Apple Store, it’s likely that this one will be as busy, if not busier, than the previous incarnation. As part of that experience, the internal Apple Store and Apple Park Visitor Center will stock Apple-branded hats, tote bags, and even t-shirts which aren’t offered anywhere else. There

The building itself is an impressive addition to Apple Park, located adjacent to the main campus, and built at an estimated cost of $110 million. That kind of financial outlay has provided Apple with a public center with 10,000-square-feet of space with a stunning rooftop observatory, caffe, a dedicated Apple Store to fulfill all Apple product needs, and more.
