Final Cut Pro X Free Trial Extended To 90 Days, Logic Pro X Free Trial Coming Soon

Apple has extended the free trial it already offers to users of its Final Cut Pro X app while also adding a new trial for Logic Pro X for the first time.

The offer is available to users worldwide and comes as people are being forced to work and learn from home during the coronavirus pandemic.

Before this move Final Cut Pro X was available on a 30-day trial, whereas Logic Pro X didn’t offer any trial at all. Now, both of those apps can be downloaded and used for free for a whole 90 days. Even those who are already in the middle of a Final Cut Pro X trial can re-install the app and get the same 90-day offer, too.

This new trial stance is a great opportunity for potential users to test out the costly apps before making a purchase. Video editing app Final Cut Pro normally retails for $299, while Logic Pro X costs $199.

While Apple hasn’t reduced the price of either app, it is now effectively making them free for three months.

This isn’t the first move Apple has made to help during the coronavirus pandemic. The company has made 10 million respirators available to those who need them, and it’s closed offices and stores around the world to try and aid social distancing initiatives.
