GeForce NOW Game Streaming Launches On iPhone And iPad Today, Fortnite Coming Soon

Streaming games to iPhones and iPads just got a lot easier after Nvidia announced that GeForce NOW is available to go today. Gamers will be able to play games via the Safari web browser, so long as they have a subscription.

Users need to be running iOS 14 and later in order to enjoy GeForce NOW, but if they do they’ll be able to enjoy PC gaming from their iPhone and iPad, all without actually owning a gaming PC.

GeForce NOW is streaming on iOS Safari, in beta, starting today. That means more than 5 million GeForce NOW members can now access the latest experience by launching Safari from iPhone or iPad and visiting play.geforcenow.com.

Unfortunately, Fortnite won’t be there on day one, however. Nvidia says that it’s working with Epic Games to try and make sure that a sufficient touch interface is ready to go before bringing the hugely popular battle royale game to the platform.

Considering you can’t play Fortnite natively on Apple’s devices right now, that’s going to be a big deal when it happens. Given the current spat between Apple and Epic, this is likely to be the quickest way to play Fortnite on iPhone and iPad.

Nvidia GeForce Now offers a free trial but a $4.99 per month subscription is needed to play unlimited lengths of time and with improved graphical features enabled.
