Images Of Philips Hue Fugato And Centura Line Of Hub-Less Lights Leak Ahead Of Release

The Philips Hue line of smart lights is already very popular, but the need for a hub is a bummer. Earlier this year the company started making lights that used Bluetooth and didn’t need a hub to work.

That range looks set to expand with new Fugato and Centura lights.

The have been rumors of a new Fugato light in recent months but now German site Smart Lights has been able to get its hands on a number of new images that show the light in all its glory.

According to that report, the Philips Hue Fugato light is capable of displaying 16 million colors and uses the aforementioned Bluetooth connectivity.

That removes the need for a hub, as we mentioned earlier, which is a big deal. It’s worth noting that a hub is still needed if you expand beyond 10 Hue lights, though.

Images of the unannounced Philips Hue Centura lights have also shown up. These recessed lights are more suited for use spotlights and will come in four different versions. Buyers will be able to choose different shapes and light borders so as to fit their home’s aesthetic.

Despite the leaks of the images there is no information on pricing or availability as yet. Given the fact such detailed images are floating around we can’t imagine the official announcement being too far away. We’ll be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for when that happens.
